2 WEEKS

Hi, Flynn Family!

Long time no sees. We are really missing you but it is only

Until we are coming to America. We are so excited!!!
What's new with you? I (Hana) have started rehearsals for my school's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I have really been enjoying it and I am playing Peaseblossom, one of Titania's fairies. It is a really fun part to play and my best friend is playing Mustardseed, another fairy. Both Xanthe and I have begun to rehearse for our dance school's production of The Little Mermaid. Xanthe is a part of the chorus, with several dance numbers to remember and Hana is playing Flotsam, one of the electric eels.

We are soooooo looking forward to seeing you. Hope you've got some great things planned because we sure have no idea what we are doing. We're staying on 94th and Riverside. Not sure if that makes any sense at all but I'm quite confused by the address system so that s something else we need to learn when we arrive :)

SEE YOU SOON

Hey Flynns

Missing you so much.

Guess what? I (Xanthe) BROKE MY ARM TODAY!! Here are some photos.

I didn't have to wait very long for them to put my cast on but I will be in the cast for 4-6 weeks. Luckily it isn't on the hand that I write with.

We are all really looking forward to seeing you.

Hear from you soon.

Back-to-school/Holiday

Hey Flynn family!

First of all, we really miss you. It feels weird that Hudson hasn't been coming over each night. Second of all, IT IS REALLY HOT!! It is 31˚C or 87˚F. We started back at school this week.

I (Hana) had my first Spanish lesson in a year on Monday. It was really easy. All that we've done is learn the alphabet. I had heats for Athletics Day today and that was really annoying because there was hardly any shade and I don't really love athletics.

I (Xanthe) made some new friends because there are a lot of new girls in my class and all of them are really nice. I've been enjoying P.E because we've been using the pool. We have started Spanish as well. My new teacher is really nice and she's fun.

My (Ginnie) week has been crazy busy, with too many emails and not enough teaching. We sadly had to go to my mother's funeral in Wellington which is at the bottom of the North Island. Hana sang which was lovely but Xanthe didn't want to go. It was a great send off and exactly what she had planned.

Greg has had to do parent-teacher interviews and he is bummed because he has to wear a tie. Here's a photo of Xanthe and I (Hana) on our first day back.

This weekend, we are travelling to Tekapo with another family. There's a beautiful lake there. It is Waitangi Day on Monday, which the day that the Treaty of Waitangi was signed by the Indigenous people and the British. The problem was that they both thought that they were signing up to different things. But we get Monday off school so we think it's great.

Hoping you're having a great week
